Teams get Built

Offering a variety of ways to improve what you do. Big or small.

Team Bonding
Shared experience is the foundation for all relationships. We can help you get started with just about any group getting together to nearly anything. This is also easy for you to do as well. We can do a quick brainstorming session to help you get started. (First one is "on the house" as they say)

Team Building
This is where not only are teams bonding but also starting to learn and become more aware. Experiences are shared, activities are directed and then we will discuss and grow together.

Team Development
Here not only are we working on the first two objectives but also adding in self reflection. Time and space for ideas to mature and take root.

Chris Cavert wrote a great explanation about this over at his blog

All programs are customizable to your group; to your groups time frame, needs and goals.

Some multi session Team Development ideas....

The Ideal

First get together (2-3 days):
The first meeting with the group would be mostly spent observing and listening to the needs, concerns, and dreams of the team members in their home environment. There will be an initial meeting with the team for introductions and an overview of the program. The evaluation, chosen by the facilitator and participating group director prior to this first group meeting, will be explained and a date will be set by which to have taken the evaluation. A personal assessment-type test can also be replaced by a team and program improvement evaluation. This evaluation can be done in place of, or in addition to, the personal growth evaluations. This meeting will also give the group and program directors an opportunity to discuss and finalize any last minute details.

Second meeting (2-3 days):
The next time the group meets with the facilitator it will be at a neutral and enriching environment. This location may not be at a adventure facility but must have an environment for the group to meet together comfortably with activity. Ideally there will also be space available for personal reflection. This date will be split between talking over the results of the evaluation assessments and laying the foundation for the program evaluation and beginning to use activities to bring out personalities and conflicts to grow the team. Most of the facilitated activities will remain simple in order to lay the ground work for the final phase.

The Next Phase (2-4 full days):
The follow-up to the first two meetings will take place at a facility with adequate adventure facilities and allow for the facilitator to continue to lead the process without safety concerns. An assistant and/or third party facilitatormay be necessary. The cap stone of the high ropes elements will be preceded by the wrap-up and final thoughts on personal growth and program evaluation. The meeting will conclude with a final debrief and an explanation of feedback forms.

The Abbreviated Version

The Quickie (3-4 full days):
The course will commence with group introductions and initial facilitation. The group will divide its time between team meetings and team building activities. The course could take place at a adventure facility and include facilitation of those activities or at some other neutral sight and for go that type of facilitation.  The meeting could involve some of the following frame work evaluation and development, program building and effectiveness understanding, and/or team functions and dysfunctions.
